Age-friendly Community Development Program - 2025

An age-friendly community is one that enables people of all ages to actively participate in community life. 

In August 2024, Queensland Government launched An Age-friendly Queensland: The Queensland Seniors Strategy 2024-2029, a blueprint for an age-friendly state, with the aim of creating the nation’s most age-friendly state.

The Queensland Government is committed to building age-friendly communities where older people are connected to their community and the people and the services that matter to them; they are supported by world class frontline services when support is needed, and they are celebrated for the contribution they make as carers, workers, volunteers and community leaders.

The application form is designed to provide information to allow detailed consideration of all submissions by the assessment panel. All mandatory sections of the application form must be completed. Mandatory questions are marked with a red Asterix.

Please ensure that you have access to the Age-friendly Community Development Program Grant Guidelines www.qld.gov.au/agefriendlygrants to assist with completion of this application form.

Late and incomplete applications will be deemed ineligible and will not be assessed. 

Applications that exceed the word limit indicated, will not be able to be submitted.  

The Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety, (the department) is collecting personal information from the application form for the purpose of administering the Age-friendly Community Development Program Grant Round 2025. The department will provide this information to the assessment panel, which may include members external to the department, for the purpose of assessing applications. If you are a successful applicant, your personal information will be published in Queensland Government publications and websites unless you inform the department you do not wish your information to be made public. Personal information will be managed in accordance with the Queensland Information Privacy Act 2009.
